Guidelines for Qur’an and Islamic Studies
Once we accept the student, the teacher assesses the student. After the initial assessment in accordance with Quran/Qaida recitation, each student is given the blessing to progress at their own rate according to their development & ability.
All beginners learn how to read the Quran through Qaida Noorania, once they finished, they progress to the Quran and start reading practice on Juz Amma and memorising small Suras.
Our advance classes are those who are able to read the Quran fluent and memorising the whole Quran. Please see below the kitabs we use for the Quran and Noorania (Learning how to read).
Islamic Studies and Assessments
Our concentration is to teach the correct method of Islam & develop Islamic manners and character in our students.
At Quba Academy we use Safar syllabus for Islamic studies, we aim to build our children’s essential Islamic knowledge, cultivate good character and manners. Elements from all core subjects are covered in the textbooks: Quran stories and history; Islamic beliefs (aqidah); religious rulings and rituals (fiqh); major episodes from the life of prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as well as key areas of social, personal development (tarbiyah).

Respectful students
Respectful students are vital to the smooth running of our Madrassah. Pupils found disrespecting any rules and not adhering to our disciplinary procedure will be firstly given a verbal/written warning.
Should the behaviour continue, the second stage is a one-week suspension from the Madrassah. If there is still a concern with the student, in the best interests of our Madrassah, the third stage will be expulsion from our Academy.
At Quba Academy, our aim is to avoid such steps and encourage positive behaviour.
Aggressive behaviour
Aggressive behaviour, verbal abuse, or any form of bullying towards pupils or teachers will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
If a parent wishes to make a complaint regarding any aspect related to the Academy, they should follow the Lantern Academy Complaints Policy or contact the Head Teacher to arrange an appointment.
Punctuality
Punctuality is the key at Quba Academy. We appreciate the tiring day our students have at school, however, regular lateness or absence without prior notification will be taken seriously and could result is losing your place at our Academy.
Lateness
Please bear in mind lateness not only disrupts other students but ensures that valuable lesson time is missed. Any planned absences must be approved in advance with the Head Teacher. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action being taken.
Absent
Any pupil who is absent for 2 consecutive weeks without notification will have their admission reconsidered.
Parents/Guardians are responsible for accompanying their child to the Academy and collecting them from outside the Academy.
PHOTOGRAPHY
At Quba Academy, we recognise that photography is a useful tool within our Academy, and it is employed routinely in many ways, for example for record keeping, displays, teachers’ lessons and the children’s own work.
On occasions, photographs are also used for the press and other promotional purposes. We also recognise the wishes of parents to take photographs and/or video of their own children participating in Quba Academy events.

Polite request to all parents, we have a one-way system at home time when collecting your child/ren from Quba Academy.Kindly could all parents, avoid driving through the Masjid. This does reduce congestion.
